    Frozen Boilies

Frozen Boilies have become a popular choice for top carp anglers in the UK. They are widely used for long sessions on the bank. Some fisheries which only hold ‘Carp Pigs’ also have strict rules where only frozen boilies can be used.

F[reezer baits can be preserved while out on the bank, this simply requires the use of a air dry bag, allowing air to circulate the baits are remove excess moisture.

These baits will eventually go harder, but by simply re- hydrating them in liquids, they will go soft once again and be ready for use.

Our recommeded frozen boilies include these popular brands:

Mainline

The Link

Dark red in colour, with a fishmeal style aroma, The Link immediately separates itself from the range in appearance and smell, but there is far more to this bait than meets the eye or nose. The Link incorporates new, key active ingredients exclusive to Mainline that have brought a level of results that have shocked our field tester team over the last two years. Seeing the likes of Darrell Peck, a long time Cell and Hybrid user smash his PB with an elusive 74lb carp. These new active and crucial ingredients that have in effect brought about the creation of The Link simply take two key boilie characteristics to the next level; the diffusion of feed inducing stimulants and ease of digestion.

Essential Cell

Essential Cell takes the nutritional technology found to be so successful in the original Cell to a new, unprecedented level. Building upon this knowledge, Essential Cell is once again a bait that cannot be described solely as a protein, fishmeal or birdfood based bait. It is a mix of crucial dietary ingredients and food sources that carp find much easier to convert into energy and condition than standard fishmeal or bird food bases. The result is base mix containing active ingredients designed to react in water regardless of temperature, triggering a sustained feeding response.

Hybrid

The HYBRID is a combination of two of Mainlines classic flavour ranges, with obviously something special added to make the flavours work perfectly together. Firstly you have the formidable CELL and one of the all time great, ACTIVE 8. Upon opening the bag you instantly get the distinctive aroma of the CELL, with the mellow coconut instantly hitting your nose. But once you break one of the boilies and crumble it, you then get the ACTIVE 8 aroma which produces quite a mellow but noticeable flavour combination that fish obviously find irresistible.

Grange

Grange frozen boilies offer exceptional performance all year round with a combination of top quality enhancers and liquid food sources. The Grange frozen boilie is a completely different type of bait to everything that has gone before it.

The Grange is not a milk protein, fishmeal or birdfood based bait,it is the next step in nutrition technology. It is designed to provide a protein source that is easier for carp to convert than fishmeals and birdfoods, provoking a sustained feeding response in all water temperatures. Actively field tested over a two year period with truly outstanding results, and from a company you can trust.

Active-8

Mainline Activ-8 is one of Mainline’s legendary baits that has brought success to anglers worldwide for a number of years. Activ-8 is a fishmeal bait with a pungent smell that contains eight active ingredients, some of which have not before been used in carp baits.

Due to this unique combination Activ-8 really stands out from other fishmeal’s on the market. Unlike other fishmeal’s Activ-8 is a true four seasons bait due to it being easily digestible and is ideal for everything from long term baiting campaigns, to short sessions where an instant bait is required, Activ-8 is accepted by the fish from the off. Its success on big fish waters is unrivalled.

This range means that the angler can use their Activ-8 boilies with other bait items to suit a number of angling methods. This is the only choice for the dedicated specimen angler after big pressured fish.

Sticky Baits

THE KRILL

Harnessing one of the most nutritional micro-organisms known to man, The Krill Boilies have been tailored to perfectly suit the carp’s dietary requirements leaving them actively hunting out the bait as an ideal food source.

Not only does the inclusion of Krill add to the nutritional profile of the bait, it is also highly regarded in the aquaculture industry as one of the greatest natural “flavours” and stimulates fish into a feeding frenzy.

Whilst Krill may be the namesake of the range, this devastating boilie comprises of a staggering twenty-five different ingredients including a couple of little gems to which we attribute the baits immeasurable success. As much as we love the open and honest approach…we’ve got to have the odd little secret!

VOR-TEX

This all season bait utilises a true-classic attractor combination in the shape of fenugreek and pure maple extract. We believe this 100% natural attractor package is what makes the Vor-Tex Freezer Boilies so unique as both a short and long term bait.

Since their release in 2011, the results on the Vor-Tex Boilies have been astonishing. Not only has it proved a consistent carp catcher, it has found a devout following on the big carp scene after leading to the downfall of some of the countries most prestigious carp.

It is the complex matrix of ingredients that lie within the bait that make it so effective, incorporating only the finest highly digestible protein sources in the form of low-temperature and pre-digested fishmeal, refined milk proteins and krill meal, to name but a few. The mix is then enhanced, by the inclusion of fast and slow releasing energy sources and assorted naturally sourced vitamins and minerals.

Freezer top tips…

Bait re- hydration is key to ensuring that your freezer bait is packed full of attraction after air- drying. Air drying is effective for a number of reasons, but one is that it makes the bait go much firmer. To re- hydrate the baits, simply remove the dried baits from the air- dry bag and place in a bucket of lake water mixed with your chosen liquids. Ensure the baits are fully covered before leaving overnight to absorb the liquid goodness.
