Packington Estate has a long history of trout fishing with records, showing stocked brown trout fishing before the first world war.

Present day fishing involves one day ticket water, three members’ only pools and a three mile stretch of the River Blythe.

Our day ticket water Cocks Close, is a 10 acre restored gravel pit which has been used for trout fishing since late 1968. Mature scenic surroundings along with quality stock make this a popular destination for midland anglers. The lake records are 21lb rainbow trout, 12lb 8oz blue trout and 10lb 6oz brown trout. The fishery is stocked at least once a week. We have a Fishery Lodge offering tackle, flies, light refreshments and toilet facilities. Snowbee, Greys and Fulling Mill are some of the brand names we sell at the lodge. Various ticket prices are on offer with 5 fish, 2 fish and catch and release and concessionary tickets available. Boat and bank fishing are available on Cocks Close.

Our members’ waters are Great Pool, which is 30 acres, Hall Pool is 16 acres and Park Meadow Pool is 5 acres. All of the pools are set in superb scenic locations within Packington Park and offer a perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of a hectic lifestyle with mostly boat fishing in a relaxed atmosphere. Membership prices are from £260 and anybody interested, can ring the lodge to book an escorted tour of the pools with a member of staff.

Packington Fisheries also has a 250 peg coarse fishery at Packington Somers Fishery and two specimen carp waters at the Broadwater Syndicate.
