The fishing at Perran Springs is spectacular, it’s well stocked with different types of carp, bream, tench, rudd, roach and perch and the 3 different lakes are tailored to suit your needs:
Butterfly lake

With depths upto 7ft this lake has plenty of carp between 1 – 10lbs, including crucian, common, leather and mirror carp. Perch to 4lb, tench to 3lb, rudd and roach.
Along the one-side you can easily pole fish to the island (appox 14m out to the one island) Best tactitcs is to fish out to the two islands with a pole.
The lake has different depths all over, so it is adviable to plum before you fish.
Although this lake is most popular with the match angler, if you are a beginner, or just like to catch plenty of good conditioned fish, this is the lake fish on.
Mayfly Fishing Lake

Not so heavily stocked as Buttefly lake, the average fish size is 6lb to 12lb but there are a number of 18lb fish and a few approx. 22lbs
The average depth is 4ft, but drops to 6ft in places and also rises in the middle (near the idland) to 2 1/2 ft, which in the summer makes good fishing for carp and bream.
This is a great lake for expecting the unexpected as one minute you may have a small roach, the next a massive carp. The fish on this lake can often be seen just cruising around and is great for floating crust in the evening.
Dragonfly Lake
This lake is best with the ledger or waggler and carp anglers often sit here with their bait alarms in waiting.
